Best Time to Visit Tanzania
Seasons
Green Season
March – May
This is when Tanzania slows down and the landscapes come alive in shades of green. Short day hikes lead through misty forests, waterfalls surge with fresh rain, and the crowds thin out making it the perfect time for relaxed, uncrowded day experiences. Hot springs feel even more inviting under cool skies, and village tours become even more personal with fewer visitors.
Mid-Season
June – October
This is Tanzania’s dry season and the most popular time for day trips into national parks. Roads are clear, wildlife is easier to spot, and the air is crisp and comfortable. It’s a perfect time for full-day safaris to Lake Manyara, Tarangire, or Ngorongoro, as well as outdoor adventures like crater hikes, hot springs, and village walks.
High Season
December – February
Clear skies and warm weather make this a great time for cultural tours, beach day trips, and exploring the highlands. The southern Serengeti and Ndutu regions are also alive with calving wildebeest, so even a day trip into these areas becomes rich with dramatic sightings. On the coast, this is a perfect time for day trips around Zanzibar and its spice farms, beaches, and historic towns.
Our Safaris
Special Family Tours
Traveling as a family in Tanzania calls for more than just a comfortable vehicle and a camera. Our family safaris are designed with absolute flexibility, keeping young ones engaged, while allowing parents to relax and take in the experience. Whether it’s spotting wild animals in the wilderness or learning about traditional life in the village, we focus on shared moments that create unforgettable safari experiences. Each safari is planned with safety, pacing, and interest in mind, from child-friendly accommodations to experienced guides.
Solo-traveler Safaris
Traveling alone doesn’t mean traveling without insight or direction. For solo travelers, we offer well-balanced itineraries that provide both freedom and expected support. You’ll be paired with trusted local guides who know how to let the whole experience do the talking, while still ensuring you're in good hands from start to finish. Whether you’re after wildlife, photography, or simply to disconnect, our special tours for solo travelers allows you to make the most of the African safari experience.
Group Safaris
We offer two unique ways to travel in a group – both professionally planned and locally led.
Private Group Safaris
These are for families, friends, or colleagues who want to travel together on their own terms. We allow you the privilege to pick the dates, decide the pace, and traveling style. On our end, we handle the rest – planning, experienced guides, and all the logistics.
Set-Date Group Departures
Our set-date departures bring together travelers from different places who are open to sharing a well-curated itinerary. These fixed-date trips are carefully timed for the best seasons and highlights, and they strike a good balance between social connection and personal space. It’s an easy, affordable way to join a high-quality safari without having to organize every detail yourself.
Honeymoon Safaris
No bells and whistles. No staged romance. Just time in the wild, with space to breathe and connect. Our honeymoon safaris are quiet, personal, and tailored to what you both value – whether that’s game drives, a private bush dinner, or a few slow days by the coast. We don’t overdecorate the experience. We just give it the room it needs to feel natural, real and unforgettable.
