Full Itinerary

One of our safari representatives will meet and greet you personally upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). From here you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Enjoy a restful night, looking forward to beginning your adventure the next day.

Meals: Half Board

Depart from Arusha this morning and drive to Tarangire National Park, where herds of African elephant and ancient baobab trees await us. This park is also renowned for its picturesque scenery, and diverse birdlife.

Tarangire has an enticing range of wildlife that includes lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetahs, mongooses, buffaloes, and baboons, just to name a few. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the afternoon and resume your game drive around the park. When the sun begins to descend on the horizon, we proceed to Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight.

Meals: Lunch / Dinner.

In the morning, we will depart for Lake Manyara, where we will spend the day exploring the park. Lake Manyara sits at the base of the rusty-gold Great Rift Valley escarpment, and the scenic landscape is breathtaking. A wide range of habitats supports an abundance of species within the park. The bird list boasts over 380 species, including many migratory ones, making it a prime destination for bird watchers.

Thousands of pink-hued flamingos gather along the lake’s edge, accompanied by large water birds such as pelicans, storks, and cormorants. Wildlife commonly seen includes buffalo, elephants, giraffes, impalas, and hippos submerged in the water. Lake Manyara is also known for its elusive tree-climbing lions, a rare sight that adds to the park’s uniqueness. Our trip will end in the late afternoon, after which we will proceed to Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight.

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

After breakfast at daybreak, we will head towards Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The crater has a population of around 120 lions, with well-defined territories; 15,000 gnu, 9,000 zebra, 400 hyenas, and around 50 black rhinos. Many gnu and other herd animals are permanent residents, benefiting from the many sources of year-round waters and are boosted by some migrators in season.

Buffalo, Serval, Jackal, Thomson’s gazelle and eland are also present in numbers. Hippos can be found in pools and swampland and highland birdlife is colourful and plentiful around the waters. Flamingos can often be spotted in Lake Magadi, which occupies part of the crater floor. In the afternoon, we will take a lunch break and continue with our game drive. After an immersive game drive, we will head back to Arusha and transfer you to the airport for your homeward flight or to onward destinations.
